Vassilios Alexiou
Creative Partner @ Boots Betalab

I work at the convergence of product & service design, creative tech and storytelling.

My background is in computer science and design; I found my calling when I discovered I could combine the two into meaningful interactive user journeys.

This led me to found Less Rain in 1998, with the vision to create work that moves, empowers and connects people.

I spent the next 15 years delivering interactive communication, products, services and platforms - as an agency owner, creative strategist, executive creative director and innovation specialist - working for brands like Red Bull, Victorinox, Sony, Oracle, Intel, Burberry, Land Rover, Fox Entertainment, Penguin, Puma and Alfa Romeo. I joined Dare in January 2014 and along a fantastic team of planners, creatives and technologists, we helped transform businesses like EE and Aviva by digitally connecting the customer experience.

I have recently joined Seven Seconds as Creative Partner. I work exclusively with Boots on designing innovative digital products and services that support their omni-channel strategy. It's terribly exciting.

Heather Smith
Marketing Director

I started my professional career with NCR Ltd in London on the classic graduate programme ensuring a solid grounding in the Sales and Marketing disciplines. Working across a variety of products (including ATMs) and clients (all in financial services) I developed a strong passion for delivering results and making a difference for customers. My personal life then took me to the south coast and I joined Norwich Union Healthcare (now Aviva). Being part of a business start up and developing the marketing model and plan for a well know brand coming into a new product space against very well and established brands was a marketing dream and a great challenge. I then moved to the direct insurance business where I led the sales and marketing for the general insurance products (car, home, travel etc) competing in a highly commoditised price driven space. This is where I developed real strength and depth on the power of Digital marketing and ensuring the whole end to end offer and customer experience was robust. I then had a spell leading the Sponsorship and Corporate Responsibility team and also working for a year on the rebrand from Norwich Union to Aviva. I have been back leading Marketing for the GI and Direct businesses including  the development of My Aviva single customer portal and app as well as the Aviva Drive app. This has demonstrated the value and strength of the composite and is helping us establish strong digital credentials which has led to Aviva being the biggest riser in the Nunwood 2014 Customer Excellence ranking.
