54 hours to change the life of modern families with technology!

During this Poznań Startup Weekend we want to show how new technologies can positively influence the life of kids, parents and grandparents. You will have 54 hours to tackle family health, home budgets, travel, entertainment, shopping, smart home, security. A team of great mentors will help you think about how to build a new tech business around the needs of families.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Let’s meet over the weekend of 18-20 November in Stary Browar in Poznan!

Sylwia Hull-Wosiek
Development Manager, Concordia Design

I studied pedagogical studies and postgraduate psychology with focus on the Transactional Analysis. My career began in the HR department but I soon found development of creativity to be my preferred area. I have worked as a coach and lecturer at the School of Form, Collegium Da Vinci, SWPS teaching Innovation Management and Service Design. I have been involved in innovation processes for VOX Company such as the New Folk Design.

This experience allowed me to build my own teaching method, which I’m constantly improving. This method can be customized according to the client’s needs. I also prepare and deliver original training programs focused on creativity and building interdisciplinary teams. My understanding of creativity corresponds to the idea of Design Thinking methodology that inspires me during workshops. I teach how to employ creativity techniques to first study the context, background, environment and consumers, then to create new, valuable ideas in response to customer’s requirements, and finally to prototype and select the best solutions.

In the center of my attention is always the human. The biggest satisfaction for me, when all the work is done, is to touch the product or be a user of the service I helped create.

I worked for many companies including Ikea Group, VOX Company, Salve Medica, Tatrzański Park Narodowy, Johnson&Johnson, ITE, Gazeta Wyborcza, Sitag. In everyday life, the most inspiring people to me are my irrepressible, receptive, and extremely creative children – Tosia and Szymon. Working on creativity never stops and that’s what drives me.
