Aryo Ariotedjo
Managing Partner at Grupara Inc

An investor, entrepreneur, and sneaker head. Aryo is the managing partner and founder of Grupara Inc., an Indonesian based venture capital firm which has invested in various startups in Indonesia. He's also the CEO and founder of FREEWARE SPACES, coworking space’s pioneer in Indonesia. FREEWARE SPACES members & alumni have raised more than $20 million in venture investments to date. Some of his past experiences include CEO and co-founder of Project Shoe New York, an ecommerce platform that lets customers design their own shoes and the organizer of the first ever Jakarta Startup Weekend. Aryo holds a degree in bachelor of commerce from Prasetiya Mulya Business School.


Stefan Jung
Managing Partner at Venturra Capital

A man who needs no further introduction for those who are actively engaged with the startup scene in Indonesia. For those who haven't heard of him, Stefan is currently the managing partner of Venturra Capital, the venture capital arm of the Lippo Group with $150 million fund at its disposal. His past experiences include partner at Monk's Hill Ventures, managing director at Rocket Internet Southeast Asia, which oversees startups such as Zalora, Lazada, and Foodpanda. Together those 3 startups have raised $1.2 billion to date. Stefan was previously a consultant at BCG Denmark and Bain & Company Sweden. He graduated with an MBA degree from London Business School.


Steven Vanada
Vice President at CyberAgent Ventures

Steven is no stranger to the Indonesia startup scene. As the vice president of CyberAgent Ventures with 4 years of experience, Steven has been investing in Indonesia's startups, some of which he has been involved as non-executive directors. Some of his portfolio are ralali.com ($2.5 million funding), Codapay ($2.3 million funding), Harukaedu, Kurio, and Bilna.com. Prior to CyberAgent, Steven was a stockbroker intern at a private hedge fund in the United States. Steven holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance from University of Washington and has completed a one semester Japanese language program from Keio University.


Tim Marbach
CEO & Founder at Asia Venture Group

Tim is the CEO and founder of Asia Venture Group, a venture capital based in Kuala Lumpur which recently was part of the venture capitals that invested $12 million to HappyFresh, an online grocery shopping startup of which Tim also serves as the executive chairman. Prior to this, he was the executive chairman of several companies such as iprice group, TrustedCompany.com, and iMoney.my, executive director at KaufDA, and an analyst at Goldman Sachs. KaufDA itself was acquired by Axel Springer for $40 million in 2011. Tim graduated from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management with a bachelor of science in finance and entrepreneurship.

Adrian Li
Managing Partner at Convergence Ventures

Impressive doesn't even begin to describe his resume. Adrian is the Founder and Managing partner at Convergence Ventures, a venture capital specializing in pre-series A funding with $25M in its pocket. He is also the director at Imaginato, a mobile and web development firm, and Qraved, Jakarta’s leading restaurant directory which has received $9.3 million in funding to date. Previously, independently and as a Rocket Internet Managing Director, he co-founded ventures in China and Indonesia. Adrian is an Ironman athlete, marathon runner, and a judo athlete back in the day. He has interest in nonprofit work and founded and chairs CNYTrust, which supports children in rural China to continue schooling. He graduated from Cambridge University with a BA and MA in Economics and obtained his MBA from Stanford while studying in the dual degree MBA & an Education MA program there.


Agung Nugroho
COO & Co-Founder at Kudo

Agung runs Kudo as the COO alongside Albert Lucius. Kudo is a startup that bridges online shops and their customers through ecommerce kiosks that accept various forms of payment, including cash and recently nabbed seven-digit funding round led by GREE Ventures and East Ventures. Agung is also the co-founder of Maju Indonesia, a nonprofit startup that provides its users with a platform to choose legislative candidates for Jakarta during the 2014 election. Prior to this, Agung was a senior associate in BCG Jakarta for 4 years. Agung holds a bachelor degree in chemical engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung and an MBA degree from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.


Andreas Ehn
Ex CTO of Spotify

Spotify is the music streaming application from Stockholm that has raised $1 billion funding to date. Andreas was Spotify’s first employee and CTO and was responsible for the product and platform architecture of Spotify. Need advice on the technical side of your startup? Then look no further because no one is as resourceful as Andreas when it comes to building your product. Andreas was supposed to hold a master of computer science degree from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan but dropped out to start working for a startup. He managed to complete half of his thesis though.


Andy Zain
Managing Director at Mountain Kejora Ventures

The man whose advices and words are heeded by many companies wishing to expand into Indonesia. For the past 19 years, Andy Zain has advised and helped multiple companies to set up and developed their business in Indonesia. Some of those companies are Disney Mobile, Yahoo! Mobile, Cartoon Network, EA Games, and Gameloft. Andy is the managing director of Mountain Kejora Ventures, a venture capital with investments in companies such as Qerja, Jualo, Ngomik, and Compare88 (Cekaja). He also serves as the director of Jakarta's Founder Institute and chairman of MobileMonday Indonesia. Along with that, he’s also the CEO & founder of Numedia Global, one of the first mobile VAS companies in Indonesia. If your startup involves connecting with Indonesia's telcos or offers mobile solution, Andy is your guy. Andy holds an MBA degree from Monash University.


Benjamin Koellmann
COO & Co-Founder at HappyFresh

Benjamin is the group COO of HappyFresh, a startup that delivers grocery to your doorstep with the press of a button. HappyFresh recently secured a $12 million funding led by Vertex Ventures, the venture arm of Singapore’s Temasek Holdings, and Sinar Mas Digital Ventures, the venture arm of Indonesia’s Sinar Mas Group. Prior to this, Benjamin was the COO of Lazada Group and the global venture development director of Rocket Internet GmbH. Benjamin’s vast experience scaling multiple ecommerce companies in emerging markets in Latin America, China, and Southeast Asia makes him a valuable mentor that you don’t want to miss. Benjamin holds a bachelor of science and business administration from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA degree from London Business School.


Christian Sutardi
COO & Co-Founder at Fabelio

Without a doubt the hottest startup co-founder in Indonesia, Christian now heads Fabelio, an online furniture marketplace startup which recently received $500K funding from 500 Startups, as the COO in charge of the demand side. He previously worked as business development manager at Foodpanda and associate at Monk's Hill Ventures. Christian was also the co-founder of Lolabox and was responsible for setting up Foodpanda’s sales and operation in Indonesia in early 2012. Christian was a graduate of Universität Hamburg, where he studied banking & finance and industrial management.


Cynthia Chaerunissa
Marketing Manager at Uber

Cynthia is currently the marketing manager of Uber, a company with over $5 billion in its war chest and valued over $50 billion. Prior to joining Uber, Cynthia was the co-founder of Lolabox and has previously worked as head of marketing at Luxola.


Danny Oei Wirianto
CMO at GDP Venture

Danny is the chief marketing officer at Global Digital Prima, better known as GDP Venture, the venture capital under Djarum that acquired Kaskus for an undisclosed amount back in January 2012, increasing the company’s valuation to an estimated $100 million. GDP also invested in blibli.com. He’s also the co-founder of mindtalk.com, and chairman at Merah Putih Inc, a startup incubator with focus on community, marketplace, game, and mobile industry. Prior to that, Danny ran SemutApi colony, a brand marketing communications with clients from Fortune 1000 companies such as BCA, XL, Microsoft, Hyundai Motors, and Samsung, for 10 years. 


Fajar Budiprasetyo
CTO & Co-Founder at HappyFresh

Fajar was amongst the first batch of Indonesian techpreneurs who successfully sold their companies. On May 25, 2010, Koprol was acquired by Yahoo! for an undisclosed amount. 2010 was the time when no one thought it was possible to build a startup that can be sold to another company, and yet Koprol did it. After the acquisition, Fajar continued his work as the director of product and engineering director at Yahoo! before cofounding HappyFresh together with Markus Bihler and Benjamin Koellmann. HappyFresh recently secured a $12 million funding led by Vertex Ventures, the venture arm of Singapore’s Temasek Holdings, and Sinar Mas Digital Ventures, the venture arm of Indonesia’s Sinar Mas Group.


Hanindia Narendrata
CMO & Co-Founder at Telunjuk.com

Hanindia is the current chief marketing officer of telunjuk.com, a comparison price website that started with electronic products and has since expanded to other products. Telunjuk itself has managed to secure seed funding from Japan’s Venture Republic in June 2013 and more recently an undisclosed amount of series A funding from Lippo Digital Venture. Alexa currently ranks Telunjuk at 572 for Indonesia’s website. Prior to joining Telunjuk, Hanindia worked at Indosat as business development staff and backbone network administrator. He holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. As you can probably tell already, Hanindia has a deep interest in the marketing side of the business and can impart tons of knowledge to you about marketing your product.


Ilham Syafrialdi
CEO & Co-Founder at Maskool.in

The founder of curated men's style online retailer, Maskool.in, Ilham has helmed Maskool.in for 3 years now and has recently secured an undisclosed amount pre-series A funding from Mr. Indra Djokosoetono, an owner and family member of the Blue Bird Group. After experiencing some speed bumps in the past, Maskool.in has developed a smarter shopping discovery platform to boost its growth and is now ready to rock Indonesia's men’s ecommerce scene. Ilham is a graduate of Binus University.


John Patrick Ellis
CEO at CekAja.com

If you have an interest in the world of FinTech startup than John is your man. John is the founder and CEO of compare88 which runs cekaja.com, an information portal for financial products and insurance in Indonesia, which recently secured a series A funding from Monk’s Hill Ventures. Cekaja has worked with banks and insurance companies across Indonesia, ensuring customers that the information displayed is up to date. Prior to this, John used to work as an investment analyst at Quvat Capital Management, the investment company that was founded by Tom Lembong, Indonesia's current Minister of Trade. John holds a bachelor of arts degree in international relations from Columbia University, where he also took some programming courses and has visited Flores, NTT during his time volunteering for Volunteers in Asia.


Joshua Kevin
Founder at Talenta

Joshua is the founder of Talenta, a software-as-a-service Human Resource Information System, which he claims to be the first of such company in Indonesia and has successfully raised funding from East Ventures and Grace Tahir of Mayapada Group on September 2014. Some of Talenta clients are Kudo, GO-JEK, Grabtaxi, Orori, FlowerAdvisor, and Topas TV. Joshua has been very active in Jakarta's startup scene in Indonesia since 2011, back when he was still pursuing his bachelor's degree at Binus University. He has worked as associate at East Ventures and StartupLokal and community manager of Kakao Talk mobile messenger. His deep knowledge of Indonesia's startup scene comes from his experience as a writer for Tech in Asia, which focuses on covering tech news happening around Asia.


Kevin Aluwi
Chief Financial Ojek at GO-JEK

The Chief Financial Ojek of GO-JEK, arguably one of the hottest startup in Indonesia right now. Recruited by Nadiem Makarim, the CEO of GO-JEK, from his previous position as head of business intelligence in Zalora Indonesia, Kevin has played an integral role in developing GO-JEK into what it is today with its plethora of services available and securing funding from Sequoia Capital rumored to be north of $20 million. This latest round of funding brought GO-JEK’s valuation to around $400-$600 million. Along with his work experience at GO-JEK and Zalora, Kevin is also the co-founder of Setipe.com and was a business development manager at Merah Putih Inc., and an analyst at Salem Partners, LLC in Los Angeles, USA. Kevin holds a degree in bachelor of science in corporate finance, entrepreneurship, and international relations from USC - Marshall School of Business.


Kevin Mintaraga
CEO & Founder at Bridestory

The tech cupid of Indonesia, Kevin is the founder Bridestory, a wedding marketplace with funding hovering between 1-10 million dollar from Rocket Internet, East Ventures, and Sovereigns Capital. Prior to building Bridestory, Kevin was the founder of Mirum Agency, previously known as Magnivate. Magnivate handled and managed digital marketing investment of various Fortune 500 companies and was acquired by WPP in March 2012. Kevin has won several awards in the past, including Fortune Magazine's 40 Under 40 and EY Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013. Kevin holds a computer science degree from Deakin University.


Lisa Enckell
Ex VP of Marketing at Wrapp

Lisa is currently a partner at Approach, a project in which the participants aim to learn more about the world by living in ten different countries. Participants learn about the places, work with startups and investors, and make early-stage angel investments in those local markets. She was previously the VP of marketing at Wrapp, a social gifting app which has raised a total funding of $28 million led by Atomica and Greylock. Wrapp was also joined by Niklas Zennström, Skype’s co-founder, as a board member. In January 2013, Wrapp had a total of one million users, only fourteen months since the company started. Lisa graduated from The University of Manchester with a BA in business, marketing and management and holds a MSc degree in business and economics from Stockholm School of Economics.


Natali Ardianto
CTO & Co-Founder at Tiket.com

The self-professed uber geek is no doubt a seasoned entrepreneur in Indonesia’s startup scene. Natali is the current CTO of Tiket.com. Tiket.com sells tickets online, from airplane tickets to concert tickets. Last time Tiket.com was on the news, Natali said that Tiket.com served an average of 3000 transactions per day valued at Rp 2 billion. Tiket was also planning to hold its IPO in NASDAQ Stock Market this year. The only other Indonesian company trading its stocks in the US stock market is Telkomsel, which trades in NYSE. Fun fact: he founded and served as CTO of Urbanesia where he managed to reach the 217th place in Alexa Indonesia’s rank using just 1 server. Natali is a proud alumni of the yellow jacket, earning both his bachelor degree of computer science and master degree in information technology from Universitas Indonesia.


Yazid Faizin
Co-Founder at ADPLUS

Yazid is the co-founder of ADPLUS, one of the leading advertisement networks in Indonesia, which has served several high profile companies such as Coca Cola, Nokia, Blackberry, and Telkomsel. In 2015, the majority stakes of the company were acquired by Yello Mobile, a leading mobile media company based in South Korea currently valuated at around $1 billion. With over 7 years of experience in the advertising industry and growing ADPLUS into where it is today with over 100 employees and 30%-50% annual growth, there's no doubt that Yazid is the most knowledgeable one in the room when it comes to online advertising in Indonesia.
